HP Pavilion 15-cw1063wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, everybody.

In October 2019, I purchased an HP Pavilion 15-cw1063wm laptop and started having problems with wi-fi from the beginning. 3 out of 5 times the wi-fi module (Realtek RTL8822BE) just doesn't load in Device Manager. That is, the module simply does not exist in the device Manager. After a reboot, it may appear and work well until the next reboot.

Tried different editions of windows 10 from 1803 to 1909 with the latest drivers and updates, the problem is not solved. I tried to put the driver on the laptop manually (I downloaded it from the hp website) and through the HP Support Assistant app. The problem is not solved.

The laptop is successfully tested by the UEFI Hardware Diagnostics for HP PCs utility.

What to do?

@AleksandrPO Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the wireless device is not working.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here
I have a few steps to resolve the issue:

  • Since you've already reinstalled drivers, I would recommend using an Ethernet cable (Wired) and update your Wi-Fi drivers using this link

  • Update the bios by visiting this link or through a support assistant using an Ethernet cable.

  • Now try to connect to the internet wireless.

Please update the windows updates and check.

Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, perform the system reset and check.
