I tried running troubleshooter several times and it either says no issues detected, or issue with adapter fixed (usually resets it), or just says the computer is fine and the external dns or something isn't working properly.

The wifi works on all other devices in my house, but it keeps disconnecting from my desktop.

The internet is fine when it's connected, but it keeps disconnecting for minutes on end.

Is there a new driver or do I have just have a defective wireless adapter??

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

This would be the latest driver for that model wifi adapter...

This is the latest Bluetooth driver...

That model wifi adapter is known for various issues, and I don't know why HP keeps using it.

I already updated it and it is still having issues 😞

Hey!

I had the same issue - yeah, its defective wifi card I think.

I sent mine off for repair and it 'fixed' then was returned with the exact same issue starting up again within 10 mins of it being returned.

I just use an ethernet cable now and I haven't had issues since. I hope you're able to get it sorted!
