I have an older 15" HP Pavillion laptop running Windows 10 and I accidentally deleted the Realtek Wifi bgn Adapter Software from Device Manager, not the driver - I can't stress this enough - it's not the driver. I've restarted several times and HP updates, Window updates...I've tried the HP support Assistant and Realtek website without success to find the software. I'm connected via a LAN cable now so getting the WLAN software back is the obvious problem here. Realtek Model RTL8188EE. Any solutions out there? Thanks - SLC

Hi @Steve561165

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you facing issue with the drivers. For the Realtek RTL8188EE wireless adapter, Windows generally does not use a separate "Wi-Fi adapter software" component independent of the device driver.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2026000-1498532-16 . To restore the Realtek software on your 15" HP Pavilion, perform a system restore.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
