Pavilion 15-AC008NP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear all,

I have a Pavilion 15-AC008NP with a Broadcom BCM43142 single band wifi card.

I would like to update to an intel AC3165NGW dual band card.

After replacing, computer starts normaly but the new card isn't detected in the device manager.

Any ideas?

Hi:

The 15-ac### model series is one of the few HP notebooks made after 2012 where you cannot replace the wifi card with one that is not listed in the service manual for your notebook's model series.

There are only 3 cards that will work in your model, and those are listed in chapter 3.

They must also have the HP part number on them, or they will not work.

Now if you want to experiment with a different card, and you have the latest BIOS update installed, you may be able to use this one...but no guarantees it will work.

The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.
