My wife's laptop randomly disconnects from wifi and I've updated drivers and troubleshot a few different things. I would like to replace the wifi card and replace it with one that has dual channel. She has a single antenna, ideally I would like to replace and add two but I don't know if that's possible.
Currently the card is L21480-005.
The part I found to replace is L25889-005.
Will the replacement card support dual channel with a single antenna?

Hi:
What I suggest you do is to replace the current wifi card with the dual band AC card that is designed to work with one antenna.
This one...
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.

The card has the same throughput as the 8723DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.
