Hello!

My WiFi adapter was broken.

I had ralink rt3290.

I want to install a dual band adapter.

Could you tell me which model is right for me?

Hi:

You should be able to upgrade to this dual band wifi card with bluetooth...

Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2×2 Wi-Fi Adapter, Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter  HP part number 730668-001.

You should be able to find this model card on eBay or Ali express.  Search by the HP part number.

You're very welcome.

Other forum members have reported that card works in the g6-2200 and g6-2300 model series.

It will definitely fit since it is a HMC form factor card just like the RT3290 is.

Everything works without additional settings and driver installation. Now my old man sees networks at 5GHz!
