What is the typical reset time for an HP Notebook?

To get the answer to this question, you're done working with your laptop, you close it and it goes into standby. But is that really the best way to give it a rest.
All laptops have a special low-power mode, known as Stand By mode or Sleep mode. In this mode, the computer will be on but the power to certain areas is managed.

 

Always practice going to the lower left with your cursor, click on the window icon and select Shut Down. Then when it's done, press the power button to start it again. Doing this will keep the computer away from slow performance and software issues.
