HP elitebook 8560p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop quit connecting to my wifi and I was told I need a new wifi card. Went into the machine and copied the following off the installed card: MAC 20107A604062

CT# GAYWBOCA-C2K1MR

SPS#=582564-001

AS#=582235-001

BCM943224HMS P1 P303

WMIB-275N

24 3CB

When I check on ebay I find HP cards with the some of the same numbers, the SPS and MAC but the card is for a different model machine like the HP 8460. If I search for HP 8560p cards I find ones with different numbers totally. See image of one I found for an HP 8560p

Should I get a card that matches the numbers on the installed card or should I get a card that is for my laptop model? Both types of card match as far as size, pin number & placement and screw holes.

If that is the eBay listing, that is the right card, but it is different than the one that came with your notebook.

Your notebook came with the Broadcom 43224AGN 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi Adapter -- HP part number 582564-001

The same part number for the Intel card is listed in your notebook's service manual:  Chapter 3, page 32.

c03052147.pdf (hp.com)

If you want the same card that your notebook has then get the Broadcom card.

The two cards have the same specs...dual band, max throughput of 300 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band.
