SIM card slot inaccessible

Hello colleagues,
please i need your experienced help.
The nano SIM card slot is apparently inactive.
Even inserting a card there, nothing happens.
My notebook is a Probook 640 8G.

Der Nano-SIM-Kartensteckplatz ist anscheinend inaktiv.
Auch wenn man dort eine Karte einsteckt, passiert nichts.

Hi:

Does your notebook have the optional WWAN card that is required for the SIM card to work?

90% of the ProBook 640 G8's do not come with this option.

You can check the device manager under the Network Adapters device manager category and check to see if your notebook has this WWAN card installed:  Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced Cat 9

If it doesn't then you cannot use the SIM card to connect to any cellular service.
