Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

cannot solve slow wifi issue using hours of web researched solutions. Now looking for appropriate hardware upgrade. Tried manipulating antennae in laptop to no avail as well. Someone said this is a common issue with hp that has yest to be resolved. Please offer suggestions for compatable card.

The G6 series is very old now. Probably due to the whitelist therefore you can't change or do much about its wifi adapter (hardware wise). Option

Thanks for the input. I inherited a laptop from my friend and i put a ssd in it because it was so slow. Now i gotta deal with this issue. too bad no compatible hardware exists to fix this. Will get a usb adapter...

It depends on what model g6 you have.

 

The g6-2200 & 2300's you can replace the internal wifi card with something better.

 

On any model g6 older than that, you can't.
