When I connect my new Spectre x360 to my home wifi, my download speeds are roughly half that of my old Asus laptop.
Using Google's internet speed test, I get on average 30-40Mbps on my old laptop vs 15-20Mbps on my Spectre.
I have the i7 Spectre, which is 64 bit Windows 10 Home.
Network card is Intel Wireless-AC 9560
I have updated the drivers to the latest. I currently have version 20.90.0.7 installed, which was released on 25 Sept 2018.
I have tried switching between 802.11ac and 802.11n (my old Asus is n, Spectre defaults to ac), without any noticeable difference. I am currently back to the default ac.
I have also tried disabling tcp utotuninglevel via a netsh command, again with no noticeable difference. I have also reverted this to normal mode.
I know that wifi speeds are slower than wired, and I could achieve higher speeds with a wired connection, but I would expect my new Spectre to at least match my 8 year old laptop for download speeds on the same connection.
Edit: I have only just realised how terrible HP support is. Why can't I post this question to HP themselves? Why is the site so completely broken in Firefox? I'm tempted to return the Spectre on the grounds of terrible aftercare.

Hi
If you have allowed the device to do all it's updates etc then speed should predictable.
So
Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat and double click to run. Post anything non-personal, but relevant please. @ECHO OFF getmac systeminfo PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter" PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver" PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed" PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection" PAUSE

Just before doing this, and after speaking to my IT friend, I removed the pre-installed McAfee (which I was planning to do anyway out of principle). I'm now seeing hugely improved download speeds.
I'm going to rely on Windows Defender right now and possibly look into additional protection.
Many thanks for your help. I should have uninstalled McAfee first, but I didn't expect it to reduce 70Mbps dl speed to 20!
