My son's Stream completed an update today and now it won't connect to the internet either to a mobile hotspot (where it normally connects) or attached to my iPhone personal hotspot by cord. We've never had this problem before. As I was going through the suggestions, I looked through the different files and adapters in his device manager and the Realtek Adapter is "not present" according to network properties. In the device manager, there are a bunch of WAN Miniport adapters listed, but no Realtek adapter.
My son completed the most recent windows update, but so did my daughter and she has no problem with her Stream. As a matter of fact, I also completed the last update, but on a different HP laptop.
