@Arpita9, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

When you connect your computer to an external monitor, projector, or TV, you have the option to alternate between different display states using the f4 key (or sometimes Windows + P key combination). The display states include:

  • PC screen only: View the screen image on the computer only.
  • Duplicate: View the screen image simultaneously on both the computer and the external device.
  • Extend: View the screen image extended across both the computer and the external device.
  • Second screen only: View the screen image on the external device only.

If you are experiencing continuous pop-ups on the right side related to these display options, it may be due to an accidental press or a stuck key that is forcing the display settings to open repeatedly.

Possible Solutions

Check the keyboard:

  • Ensure there are no stuck keys or accidental presses of the F4 or Windows + P key combinations.

Adjust Display Settings:

  • Manually set the display state to your preferred option:
    • Windows + P:
    • Select the desired option from the menu:
      • PC screen only
      • Duplicate
      • Extend
      • Second screen only

Disconnect and reconnect external devices:

  • Sometimes a disconnection and reconnection can resolve persistent display issues. Ensure the cables are properly connected.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes cause display issues. Update to the latest drivers using the device manager or downloading from the manufacturer's website.

Check for system updates:

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date. Sometimes system updates can resolve bugs or issues.

Refer to HP Support Assistant:

  • Use HP Support Assistant for assistance with video features and troubleshooting specific issues.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
