My Envy Move All-in-One Desktop is unable to connect to the Internet, unless I restarted my eero router. This happened every single time, and I dont knew why, the compatibility issue, I guess? I have set my eero router to Legacy Mode to avoid the wifi6, and updated the driver for the network adaptor, but I still need to restart the router every time after I turn on my computer, can everyone help me with this issue? Thanks~

@N23R1C, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how frustrating it can be to restart your eero router every time just to get your HP Envy Move All-in-One PC (7Z218AV) online. Let's work through this together.
Your PC only connects to the internet after restarting the eero router, even though:
- You've enabled Legacy Mode on the eero (disabling Wi-Fi 6).
- You've updated the network adapter driver.
This suggests a potential DHCP handshake issue, power management setting, or network profile conflict.
Recommended Steps to Resolve:
Disable Power Saving for Network Adapter
Sometimes, Windows disables the network adapter to save power, which can cause reconnection issues.
- Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters → Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck: “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.”
- Click OK and restart your PC.
Set Static IP Reservation on eero
If your PC is not getting a consistent IP address, it may fail to connect until the router is restarted.
- Open the eero app → Go to Devices.
- Tap your HP Envy Move → Tap Reserve IP.
- Assign a static IP address to your PC.
This ensures your PC always gets the same IP, improving compatibility.
Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
- Select your eero network → Click Forget.
- Reconnect and re-enter the password.
Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers
Outdated firmware can cause hardware compatibility issues.
- Visit the HP Support page.
- Download and install the latest BIOS, chipset, and wireless LAN drivers.
Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update → Click Check for updates.
- Install all available updates and restart.
Optional: Test with Another Network
Try connecting your Envy Move to a different Wi-Fi network (e.g., mobile hotspot) to see if the issue persists. If it works fine, the issue is likely with the eero configuration.
If the issue continues, consider resetting network settings:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.
- Click Reset now (Note: This will remove all saved networks).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
