After setting it up, the camera is still there, and so its driver as well. But after windows automatically updated on its own, and prompted me to restart, the camera driver is missing from the device manager. Please help me. Or provide me the device camera driver.

Hi @Bingka,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0xA00F4244 on an HP laptop usually indicates a problem with the camera or the Camera app. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Restart your HP laptop and check if the camera starts working.
Check Camera Privacy Settings: Ensure that the camera is not blocked by privacy settings. Follow these steps:
- Go to "Settings."
- Select "Privacy."
- Under "Camera," make sure the toggle switch is turned on.
Update Camera Drivers: Outdated or corrupted camera drivers can cause issues. Update the camera drivers using the following steps:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Locate the "Cameras" section and expand it.
- Right-click on your camera device and select "Update driver."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.
Uninstall and Reinstall Camera Drivers: If updating the drivers doesn't work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling them:
- In Device Manager, right-click on your camera device and select "Uninstall device."
- Restart your laptop.
- Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers. Check if the issue is resolved.
Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date. Windows updates may include fixes for known issues, including problems with the camera.
Run Windows Troubleshooter: Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can automatically find and fix some problems. Try running the "Troubleshoot" tool:
- Go to "Settings."
- Select "Update & Security."
- Click on "Troubleshoot" in the left pane.
- Find and run the "Windows Store Apps" troubleshooter.
Check for Third-Party Software Interference: Some third-party applications or antivirus software might interfere with the camera. Try disabling or uninstalling such software temporarily and check if the camera works.
Restore to a Previous System Restore Point: If the issue started recently, you can try restoring your system to a previous state using System Restore. This can revert changes made to your system files and settings.
Perform a System File Check (SFC): Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following command to check and repair system files:
sfc /scannow
Remember to back up your important data before making significant changes to your system.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
