Turn on Bluetooth with a dv7-1273cl

I dusted off my old HP Pavilion dv7-1273cl because my newest PC is in the shop.  I could have sworn this laptop was Bluetooth compatible.  Since it is a retired product, I could not even pull a manual for it or get support.

After using Device Manager, Settings (in Windows 10), and the wireless taskbar at the bottom right, I was unable to confirm if this laptop was Bluetooth enabled, even using HP Support Assistant.  It turns out it is Bluetooth compatible.  I inadvertently disabled it with HP Wireless Assistant.

To turn it on you have to open Control Panel > Network and Internet >HP Wireless Assistant.   When HP Wireless Assistant opens, you will see your Wireless LAN, and Bluetooth antennas.  If you have the same setup as I did, your Bluetooth will be red (off), so click the turn on button next to it.

After you do that then it will show in Device Manager.

One way to find this is click Start, type in Control Panel, click Network and Internet, click HP Wireless Assistant.  If you don't see HP W.A. your HP may have a copy in the C:\ drive, swsetup folder.  If you have the version I did, it is in the sp45222 folder. Look for the Application Setup or Windows installer file.

HP Pavilion dv7-1273cl is a very old machine, no official specs is available now. The following manual MAY be the right one
