My AMD Ryzen 7 7840u Pavilion Plus 14 laptop came with a Mediatek MT7921 Wifi and BT card that has been nothing but problems.
I have decided to replace it with another card. Does anyone have experience of swapping it with the Intel AX210?
Will it work in the laptop? Does the BIOS allow for a change in WIFI card?
Thanks,

You're very welcome.
When I ran that HPUP app in the Wi-Fi driver file, all it did was create a text file.
The drivers are actually in the src folder, so here is how you can manually install the driver.
Go to the device manager, click on the Mediatek Wi-Fi adapter which will be found under the Network adapters device manager category.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked, and the driver should update.
You can do the same procedure with the Bluetooth driver file.

Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates that only two Mediatek Wi-Fi adapters were offered in the model series.
It would be a long shot for an AX210 to work in your notebook.
Many forum members have reported issues installing that model card in an AMD platform.
You might have better luck with the AX200 which HP installed in my AMD Ryzen 5 4500U notebook.

There are newer Mediatek drivers you can try first that are not listed on your notebook's support page:
MediaTek Wireless LAN Driver
Version 3.0.1.1327
MediaTek Bluetooth Driver
Version 1.3.17.162

Thank you for you help!
When I download those drivers nothing happens it simply unpacks to a folder SW in C:
when i inspect the files I do not see a setup.exe rather HPUP and an install command file but both do nothing.
Am I doing something wrong?
