I tried the HP suggested uninstall network adapter in the device manger list. After scanning for changes it never re-installed. I also tried to install drivers as I somehow managed to lose my wifi also but the drivers need the adapter. So currently I cannot connect through Ethernet (getting a new one) or through wifi. Please help.

Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

It is the HP Pavilion dv6 notebook. Product # A3E86AV. It is a widows 7 home premium 64-bit OS.
It seems I managed to get it to acknowledge my local connection but I cannot get it to find any wireless connections. I can't troubleshoot it because it wants to suggest the Ethernet as it's only connection at this time. It also says the local area connection adaption is disabled. I've been through the Network drivers on the site.
