Hi:

What model internal wifi card do you have in there now?

Not sure? I have not opened it. Currently on lockdown so something to tick off the to do list. I saw this on the settings of that currently unused wifi adapter Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter

You gave me the info I needed to know...your notebook has a RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter in there.

The service manual only lists the Intel 7265 and the one you have in there now.

I didn't think an Intel card would work in a notebook with an AMD processor, so I don't know why they list the Intel card as supported.

That may be why HP put the lousy RTL8822BE card in there.

If you want to experiment, you can try this Intel card...it's cheap enough.  It has to be the non-vPro model.

Otherwise, I can't think of any better cards than the one you have in there now that aren't made by Intel.
