Hi:

What model wifi card does your notebook come with?

HP Recommended

Well I Currently have 802.11b g n  1x1 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4 2 combo. I have yet to recieve my laptop but I assume better WiFi tech would go along way. A súper big thank you

Ohhh I have seen the other posts you commented would I be able to upgrade my 8gb RAM ?

OK, so it sounds like you're going to get the Realtek RTL8723DE single band wifi card with bluetooth.

That means HP is only going to install one antenna cable.

If you end up with that card, you can upgrade it to this one.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can buy one new from the HP parts store...$16.50

https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=535BAB585EEC40ED98748F4E1E30BE39&SearchIn=P...

or on eBay...

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

On a dual band wireless N router, it would have a maximum throughput of 150 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.

I won't be able to help you with the memory upgrade info until you actually get the notebook and can tell me what the model number is, so I can refer to the service manual.

The 15t-7FQ32AV_1 provides no info other than the specs from the HP store.

No parts list, no manual, no model number, no nothing.

Would I be able to attach another attena ? How do you change WiFi cards ? Is it relativley easy  ? Is it worth it ? I currently got accepted to a másteres computer science programm  so I think that I should  do this.

Thats okay I just wanted to ask because I snooped around your profile hahaha.

A big thank you !!!!

You're very welcome.

It is way too much trouble to attach another antenna cable.

You will have to take the whole notebook apart including the display panel area to properly run the second antenna cable.

Without a manual, I have no idea what the antenna kit part number is, or how to take the notebook apart.

It will be hard enough just to take the bottom cover off to replace the wifi card.

The wifi card should be held down by one Philips screw.

The antenna cable is very thin and delicate.   You have to be very careful when removing it from the wifi card.

Reattaching it is fairly easy.

Dang, now that sounds like if I do that im going to break my laptop hahaha. Would you happen to Have a link to a reliable vídeo on this I have been going through youtube but I am not sure where to go from here. Also thanks for the link !!! Imma make sure to get that done !!!

I'll just settle for the upgraded WiFi card you recommended !

HP Recommended

Unfortunately I do not.

Since I have no clue what your model is, I have no idea how to open it up.

If you want a video on how to replace a typical wifi card on a newer notebook, this is generally how it is done...

Again, these are general procedures and will not be exactly the same as in your model notebook.
