HP Notebook - 17-x114dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi ! I don't have Bluetooth hardware in my HP Notebook - 17-x114dx, Product number Z4P14UA#ABA. I want to upgrade to include internal bluetooth hardware in it, because I don't like external usb bluetooth dongles. Please guide me how may I do that and what may be the appropriate hardware? It appears that the network wireless card installed is Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter. Wireless connectivity 802.11b/g/n (1x1), Network interface Integrated 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet LAN.

My hp product support page is at: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-17-x100-notebook-pc/12499468/model/14121265/document/c053335....

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi:

You can upgrade to this model card which is both dual band AC and has bluetooth.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8188EE card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure...
