Currently I am trying to replace my wifi card Intel AC 7265.

I tried an Intel AC9260NGW but after installing the laptop would not start up. It said the new wifi adapter was not supported and I had to reinstall the old wifi card...

Can anybody tell me if there is another modern wifi adapter that will work in my laptop? Intel AX 200 non vPro??

Productname N9Q77EA#ABH

BIOS date 11/10/2015

BIOS rev. F.24

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz

Any advice will be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Harrie

Hi, Harrie:

If the Intel 9260 non-vPro card didn't work, it is highly unlikely any other card not listed in chapter 3 of the service manual will work.

HP ENVY Notebook PC (model numbers 13-d000 through 13-d099 and 13-d100 through 13-d199) Maintenance ...

Your notebook already has the better of the two cards listed in the manual installed.

Thanks Paul,

I have been able to update my SSD to a 1 TB version (Samsung 960).

The AC 7265 is not a bad wifi card, but I had hoped to be able to upgrade that too.

Thanks for your expertise!
