ProBook 450 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good evening!

I purchased this laptop earlier today and was surprised that the wireless adapter was not dual band (I should have checked). I'm very blessed :generic: and have 250 mbps up/down fiber internet at home, so I really need 5GHz to take advantage of the speed. Is it possible to upgrade the adapter in this laptop or do I need to return it and choose a different laptop?

Here is what is currently installed; let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your help!

That's exactly what I needed and I've already ordered 1 for $30 on Amazon. Thank you for your help!

I'm in the same situation.  I just got the ProBook 450G3.  I was wondering if the card you ordered worked and if you can now access your 5G network and if so, which card did you get?    Thanks.

Hello. Below is the link to wi-fi adapter that I purchased. It just snaps in and I believe it found the driver itself. Works great with 5G and it's still working today. $25.38

Thanks so much.  I can't believe they sell computers with wireless adapters that aren't dual channels anymore.  It seems so antiquated.   I just never even thought to look because it seemed like it would be so standard.  It's like having to check to see if a new car comes with a spare tire.  But I really appreciate your help, so thank you.

You're welcome! That's the exact same thing I thought; I didn't even think to check. Luckily, it's a cheap and easy fix.
