We have upgraded to the Verizon Gigabit service at our new home but my laptop is still very slow due the Centrino wireless card that came standard in it in 2012. I would like to replace it but have noted in dicussions that a whitelist of approved parts exists. Would anyone know which card that is capable of wifi6 would be approved as a replacement? Thanks so much!

Hi:
Unfortunately, your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any other model wifi adapter than those listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual and those had a maximum throughput of 300 MBPS if you have one of the Intel dual band Wi-Fi adapters.
There are no supported Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6 cards for your notebook.
