Upgrading WI-FI card - ENVY 15 Notebook

Hello experts

My current laptop is having only a 2.4ghz band. I have a dual-band router in my house and 5ghz is much faster. 

I want to replace the current one and upgrade it with a newer dual-band 2.4 and 5ghz. But which Wi-Fi card will fit my laptop I found many new wifi card but I am not sure if it going to work with my laptop.

Hi:

You should be able to upgrade to this dual band wifi card with Bluetooth.

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

You can find this model wifi card on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Please post back and let us know how your wifi card upgrade project went.

Before installing the Intel card, uninstall both the wifi and bluetooth devices and drivers in the device manager.

If there is any bluetooth software listed in the windows control panel>programs, uninstall that too.

Then shut down the PC, remove the battery and install the Intel card.

W10 should automatically install the wifi and bluetooth drivers for the Intel card, but you can get the last ones that Intel released from the links below.  I think they will be newer than what W10 installs.

Sure, I will sir after I received the new card, I will try to fix it by myself if it does not need special tools or screwdrivers.
