My laptop has the following Wireless network adapter.
I will appreciate any advice on how I can upgrade the adapter to dual band.

Adapter currently installed is: Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n PCIe Adapter

if you want to change the card for a dual band card you can use the following one
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 IEEE 802.11 a/c 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) L17365-005

there are models that are very good I use in a laptop one TP-Link and it goes very well.
