When I bougt my Probook 450 G8, I updated the wifi to Intel AX201NGW (to get AX) IT have worked so far.
Now I have a better Access Point, so I wanted to upgrade. I installed a Intel AX1690i.
Intel driver installation detects the AX1690, but neither wifi nor bluetooth is active.
I have been fiddling with drivers, installed intel driver & support assistant, to ensure the latest drivers.
So - where do I start ?
Is the AX1690 compatible with my probook at all? (Both wifi cards are CNVio2)

Hi:
I don't believe that you can upgrade from one CNVI card to another.
I think the best you can do would be to install a regular type (non-CNVI) Intel Wi-Fi card such as the AX210 Wi-Fi 6E card.
Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro HP part # M27269-005.
