I currently have my Hp 15d-du1xxx i3 laptop with no backlit keyboard, but half the keys on my keyboard are not working, so i was thinking to upgrade the built-in keyboard to a backlit one. Is it possible to do that?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding upgrading the keyboard!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Upgrading your HP 15d-du1xxx laptop keyboard to a backlit version may not be straightforward. The possibility of upgrading to a backlit keyboard depends on whether the laptop's motherboard supports it or not and whether there's an available connector for a backlit function.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
