HP ENVY TS 15, With AMD processor

Product Number- E7Z16UAR#ABA

Hi I'm trying to find the best option for upgrading my WiFi card to run  bluetooth and hopefully receive 5ghz.

currently have a  Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11bgn 1×1 WiFi installed.

The following cards, which as far as i can tell are not dual band, are compatible according to the manual.

Qualcomm QCA9565 802.11bgn 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter

Ralink RT3290LE 802.11bgn 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter

Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn 1×1 WiFi Adapter

Are these the cards I'm limited to or is there possible something better available since the 2103 printing of the notebooks manual.

If anyone has had success with other cards that are not listed for this machine please let me know

Thanks Sam

confirms you have 2 antennae. Your laptop is new enough to be past the HP whitelist era which means you can install any wireless card you want as long as it is the right form factor.

Yours is the mini-pcie type not the M.2 type.

Specs I have found say you have an AMD A10-5750M processor.

Intel wireless cards are not optimal for AMD systems. For you the best 802.11ac dual band card with Bluetooth is the Broadcom Azurewave card.

See p. 44 for "how to". Installation is easy since there is an an access door. Just for peace of mind you might want to visually confirm you have 2 antennae available before spending money on an upgraded wireless card.
