Hi @AHM6,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for contacting HP Support. If the Wi-Fi adapter is missing in Windows 11, please try the following steps:

  1. Check Device Manager
    • Right-click Start and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Network adapters and check whether the wireless adapter is listed.
    • Also check under Other devices for an Unknown device or a device with a yellow exclamation mark.

  2. Check for hardware detection
    • Restart the laptop and press F2 repeatedly during startup to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
    • Go to Component Tests → Wireless Module → Run once.
    • This test checks whether the BIOS detects the wireless module.

  3. If the wireless adapter is listed in Device Manager, right-click it and select Uninstall device, then restart the laptop. HP recommends this procedure to reinstall the wireless driver.

  4. If the adapter is still missing, please download and install the Wireless/Network driver specifically for your HP laptop model from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page. HP recommends selecting Windows 11 → Driver – Network for the appropriate model.

If the Wireless Module test does not detect the adapter, please let us know the result and provide your exact HP laptop model/product number. We can then check the appropriate wireless driver and determine the next troubleshooting step.

Take care and have an amazing day!
