Pavilion 15-cw0014nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Greetings to all, happy and merry Christmas,

I have a problem with wifi connection on my new Pavilion 15-cw0014nc notebook. Notebook disconnects from wifi (the icon shows that my laptop is still connected), I will run a diagnostics connection in the chrome browser and run network diagnostics, network configuration, reset the Wifi adapter, eventually will write that the default gateway is not available and finally the problem has been resolved and another 5 minutes I can work on Wifi and then disconnect again.

There are two more laptops in my household and two phones that have no connection problems. I restarted the router and downloaded and installed all the available wireless wifi drivers for the notebook.

I do not know how I can solve this problem, thank you for all the advice.

Hi

So is it that the network connection is fine, but the internet via the Gateway fails?

What is its Gateway address???

So a fixed IP address Gateway etc and DNS values may help.

I temporarily put the cable into my laptop and it works smoothly on the cable. I took my notebook to school and to my girlfriend (i posted that from her account) and it always disconnected me. So there must be a problem with Wifi in the laptop. Because at home it goes to everyone except me.

I have a this one: Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter

Hi

Troubleshooting here...

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-15-cw0000-laptop-pc/20284015/model/22665870

Drivers here...

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-cw0000-laptop-pc/20284015/model/2266...

Some are W10 1809, others 1709 and 1803.  So perhaps run an update?

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat and double click to run.
Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

@ECHO OFF
getmac
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"

PAUSE

The 2 in bold will tell us what is your current status.

If in doubt please ask.

Troubleshooting nothing found and it doesn´t help in anything.

I downloaded all the drivers and updated it, but it seems to me that I downloaded those files before, but they did not solve anything, and WIFI disconnected again after a few minutes.

And with this notepad, I do not know what that means. I created a notepad, put it in it:

@ECHO OFF
getmac
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"

PAUSE

saved and renamed, but it did not help, I probably made a mistake somewhere. Perhaps it is thought of with the notepad somehow, because I just started it and just opened what I saved and no information showed me.

Hi

Open a text editor, like notepad, and copy and paste the text into it, or type it longhand.

Save it onto your desktop as LBB.BAT (no .txt extension in sight).

Double click on the file to open as you would with any app etc .

@ECHO OFF
getmac
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PowerShell -Command "Test-NetConnection"
PAUSE

OR

WinKey + R type cmd.exe pause

Then in the screen that opens, type

PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"

press enter

repeat with the next line.

So I discovered and identified the possibility of disconnecting it, but I would like to solve it, but I do not know how. I have a WIFI router at home (about 6 years) tp-wr841n on which the internet is still disconnected (the home gate is disconnected or what), I took the second router from the house from belkin (ages 5 to 6), I attached it to standart 2.4 Ghz and wifi still disconnect me, so at least I know it is not a router, but since my wifi from belkin can also 5Ghz, so I added it to 5Ghz and it works and does not disconnect it. I took the notebook to my parents and I have a year old router and everything went without a problem to 2.4Ghz, so I wonder if the notebook is new and wifi older so why does not it understand and it all goes without a problem , I hope I have written it in a clear way. I wonder why it always disconnects me 2.4 ghz at home and on the apartment, but at parents not and with 5Ghz it goes without a problem.

Hi,

Did you get any resolution on your problem?

I have exacly same problem with same hardware on my HP laptop.

I also tried driver update but in vain.

Regards,

Well to answer you both...

IF we knew about your PC's then we could help, but you wont co-operate, so.....

GIVE the SKU number as a minimum. From that we can probably find the WiFi adapter installed.

AND/OR

Changing the engine in your car does not solve the steering problem.

Just updating a driver is not the answer.

Hi

My PC has only a 2.4GHz adapter.

To connect you need a profile for that individual SSID from the router...

C:\>netsh wlan show profiles

Profiles on interface WiFi:
