HP Envy X360 convertible (15-cp0008ca)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Connection to wifi on my laptop keeps dropping out. Network settings show the pc still connected to the network with full signal strength but can't load webpages or recieve emails. Both the Windows and HP diagnositics show no issues and neither does McAfee, Windows Defender or Malwarebytes. The laptop is farily new and installing all the latest Windows updates, HP updates and drivers doesn't seem to help. Other devices connected to the same network seem to be fine so it's not a problem with the wifi.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have exactly the same WiFi problem, helped me when I switched WiFi to 5Ghz if it supports your WiFi. All my home appliances work great on WiFi, only my new hp notebook does not work properly and it disconnects me for the time being. I have tried several older WiFi routers and everything the same, it works only a whole new WiFi router, there is no problem. You have several options to temporarily solve it because hp has no power to deal with. You can buy an external WiFi receiver (works well), you can use a cable (Ethernet), you can share WiFi over a cable in your phone (USB tethering), buy a new WiFi router (but it is not guaranteed it will work) 5Ghz bandwidth (if your WiFi supports it but it has its advantages and disadvantages)

The router or wifi isn't the issue because other devices connect to it just fine including the previous generation HP spectre x360, which is basically the same laptop but just the notebook version and one year older.
