I'm reporting same issues in a OMEN 15-dc0010nr. It's sill under warranty... Through chat and remote control.. They update my BIOS and drivers card.. The issue continues ... 😞

Now, to get the WLAN working I must disconnect the bluetooth adapter. 😞

Hey, i know this is an old post, but three weeks ago i bought a HP Omen 17 Laptop for gaming and work. After setting everything up i wanted to play some Dota 2, and noticed my internet would lag every six to ten seconds.

I could not figure it out, i was going out of my mind trying to figure out what was causing the network drop, ping spike and packet loss. I googled it maybe 50 times over, did a clean install of windows 6 times, which would temporarily fix the issue, but it would always return, i rolled back and reinstalled drivers more times than i can remember and after my final clean install of windows as i was setting programs up and had a background program monitoring network traffic i realised it was after installing AutoCAD that it would do it. When you install AutoCAD it also installs the autodesk desktop app. As it turns out this program is constantly doing a wifi scan, and when it does this it knock out your signal for a couple of seconds causing internet drop. Program is uninstalled and now my internet is as good as it should be.

I understand this is a very specific solution to a very specific problem, but i figured on the off chance anyone else has this problem and googles the same stuff i did, they might end up on this forum and find this.

You arent by chanced using any autodesk products such as inventor, revit or autoCAD are you?

Hey dude,
thanks.
At first reade I did not believe that autocad desktop would really interfere with wifi, but oddly enough it really was the source of the problem.
Thank you so much for sharing the solution.
