Hp Pavilion g7 1130ew
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My WLAN card RALINK RT5390 stopped working, so I replaced it and installed new, but the exact same model. The only main differences I see are of course MAC adresses, CT numbers and HF numbers.

When I reboot, I get the error message:

Wireless module not supported.
WLAN Module ID (702).

When I installed the card after the Windows has already loaded the card was detected by the OS and I was able to installed a driver, but the card would not work without restarting the Windows.

Thanks for any help

Do you use SAME part # too ? That is a very tricky bit for many older notebooks from HP. I actually bought an adapter for my machine and very happy with the out come: I've got much higher speed:

There are many around and much cheaper too.
