I cannot connect to WiFi unless it’s through Bluetooth. I have tried downloading the Realtek RTL8822BE adapter and it never shows up in device manager. I have tried scanning for new hardware. Resetting my pc. Resetting the network. No luck. Any suggestions? I have the 802.11ac WiFi antenna.

List under my network adapters:

bluetooth device (personal area network)

WAN Miniport (IKEv2)

WAN Miniport (IP)

WAN Miniport (IPv6)

Hi @Tiff_H_23

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

To better assist you - May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

While you respond to that, try testing the hardware -

1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F2 once.
4) Go to Component test.
5) From the list, run the Wi-Fi module test.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

The only options it gives me is Memory Test, Storage Tests, Language, and exit.

Thanks. I did the download, went to the components test but nothing listed for network. Only audio, storage, video, power, input devices, and processor. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a hardware failure.

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
