WWAN slot and SIM card slot are TWO things. WWAN card options for the series:

  • Foxconn HP lt4120 LTE/EVDO/HSPA+ w/GPS M.2 (Amstel) (WW, except Indonesia, China, India, Japan)
  • Huawei HP lt4132, LTE/HSPA+ w/GPS M.2 (Macan) (APJ, LA, EMEA)
  • Fibocom HP hs3210 WW HSPA+ w/o GPS (Wrangler 2)

Supports WWAN After Market Option (for Europe, Middle East, and Africa only)

Now my questions:

  1. did you buy one of the above option ? w/o this option the SIM card is useless.
  2. does your SIM provider support above WWAN cards ?

Regards.

Hi

thanks for quick reply

Please see the sim slot in the picture below.. (right side of the laptop - above slim dock charging port.)

So i cant answer you question about  if i have chosen the option from Foxconn, Huawei or Fibocom.

My sim provider support DATA Card, where you can enter 4 pin code and you get access to Network.

My provider sim card work with USB Data Dongle.. like this one: HUAWEI E3372H 4G USB modem

As @banhien said, it is acknowledged that your notebooks have SIM card slots. Many notebooks are sold WWAN ready - the SIM card slot is present, as are the WWAN antennas - but these are useless unless the WWAN card is fitted internally. Unless your notebook has one of the three cards listed inside it, there is no WWAN hardware and the SIM card slot isn't connected to anything.

The general position is that if any model in a range has WWAN then there is a SIM card slot, even on machines that cannot have WWAN fitted. I have a ZBook with a screen option that omits WWAN antennas so it cannot have a WWAN card fitted, but the system still has a WWAN slot because other models in the same range with a different screen are WWAN ready and can be bought with a factory fitted WWAN card.
