Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently acquired a Probook 6460b and wanted to use a 4G sim for mobile Internet access, however it turns out that it is not fitted with a WWAN card. Has anyone got information on which cards are compatible with this laptop please. Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Check to make sure your notebook has the WWAN antennas present where the WWAN card installs.

Since your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents any other model WWAN adapter from working other than those listed in chapter 3 of the service manual, you must buy one of those cards and it must have the HP part number on it, or the card will not work.

Hi Paul

Thanks for your prompt reply. The antennae cables for the card are there, unfortunately the link to the manual doesn't work 😞😞

You're very welcome.

The link to the manual I posted works fine for me.

What I have done is to save the pdf file of the manual, zipped it up and attached it below, since it exceeded the 5 MB attachment limit by a small amount.

Many thanks for taking the time to do this for me... There appears to be only one of the three modules that works on 4G so I'm busy looking around for one of those. Will advise if successful.

Thanks again.... Andy

Anytime, Andy.

This link has the specs for the HP hs2340 and HP un2430 WWAN adapters...
