Have new HP Omen and trying to setup network  - seems ok but logging in it asks for credentials and all I have entered in the past is my Gmail password  which are now not accepted. What am I missing?

Hi @TGH3

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Keep me posted.

The model name is OMEN by HP Laptop 16-b0xxx per the sys info page -- note the box label ends with 16-b0013dx

Thanks for your response.

May I know if this is the first time you are trying to set up a network on your HP Omen?

Are you able to boot into Windows?

Have you made any changes to it?

Could you please brief me if you are referring to the system password of your HP Omen?

Awaiting your response.

Thanks.

re your questions:

May I know if this is the first time you are trying to set up a network on your HP Omen? yes - just bought a month ago

Are you able to boot into Windows? Everything else is working fine

Have you made any changes to it? No  I only entered /created  my pin which works fine and my **bleep** email

Could you please brief me if you are referring to the system password of your HP Omen? I am referring to clicking on the network that is created on my main desktop (a Win10 Pro Dell Alienware Aurora R5) and it asks for my "credentials" I have tried entering the pin and the **bleep** address but they don't work to enable access and they are the ONLY individual items I have created on the new HP Omen laptop

Thanks for your response.

Could you please brief me on how have you set up the network? Please elaborate on it so that I can assist you further.

Thanks!

You are wasting my time it seems -- I merely need to know what HP considers "credentials" for the HP Omen that I have told you about -- the network I am referring to is auto setup on my Dell PC and how it is setup should have no impact on how HP calls credentials.   As mentioned I have only created my **bleep** email account and pin and those are not accepted -- so what else could it be?
