What is the difference between a TS antenna and non TS antenna?

Hello

I need to replace the antenna on my Pavilion

Checking on part surfer there are two part compatible. One is TS and the other is non TS.

What's the difference?

Hi:

The only thing I can think of is that one refers to the Touchsmart models and the other is for the non-Touchsmart models.

So, if your notebok has a touchscreen, then it is a Touchsmart model notebook.  If not, then it is a non-Touchsmart PC.

The basically use the same service manual except for a few minor differences (like if you need to replace the display screen for example).

That could be, but I don't see how the antenna may be different depending on the touchscreen.

These are the two part numbers compatible

811201-001 - Antenna Dual TS

809008-001 - Antenna Dual, NON TS/ TS TOP

I called support and they transferred me to sales and I ended up in support again without an answer 😕

Please post the full model number or product number of your notebook.

The product number can be found on the same sticker as the serial number.

Hi:

According to the service manual linked to your notebook's support page, chapter, 3, page 30, there is only one set of antennas listed.

Antennas (includes wireless antenna cables and transceivers)
