Hi @ric1961,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Beats 15 Notebook isn't showing any Wi-Fi options, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Wi-Fi Adapter Status:

Open Device Manager:

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.

Expand Network Adapters:

  • Look for a network adapter related to Wi-Fi (e.g., "Wi-Fi Adapter," "Wireless Network Adapter").

Check for Errors:

  • If you see a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark, there might be a driver issue. Right-click the adapter and select Properties to see if there are any error messages.

Update or Reinstall Wi-Fi Driver:

Update Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click the Wi-Fi adapter and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Driver:

  • If updating doesn't work, right-click the Wi-Fi adapter and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Check Network Settings:

  1. Open Network & Internet Settings:
    • Right-click the network icon in the system tray and select Open Network & Internet settings.
  2. Troubleshoot:
    • Scroll down and click Network Troubleshooter to let Windows diagnose and fix the issue.

Check Physical Switches or Function Keys:

Physical Switch:

  • Some laptops have a physical switch to enable/disable Wi-Fi. Ensure it's turned on.

Function Keys:

  • Press the Fn key and the function key with a Wi-Fi symbol (often F2, F3, or F12) to toggle Wi-Fi on or off.

Check BIOS Settings:

Enter BIOS/UEFI:

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc, F1, F2, F10, or Del to enter BIOS.

Check Wireless Settings:

  • Look for a setting related to wireless or network and ensure it is enabled.

Check for Windows Updates:

Open Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Check for Updates:

  • Install any pending updates as they might include important fixes.

System Restore:

If the issue started recently and none of the above steps work, consider using System Restore to roll back to a point when the Wi-Fi was working.

  1. Open System Restore:
    • Type System Restore in the Start menu search bar and select Create a restore point.
  2. Run System Restore:
    • Follow the prompts to restore your system to a previous state.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, there might be a hardware issue with the Wi-Fi adapter itself.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
