Solved!

Wi-Fi Signal Strength weakness

HP Recommended
Notebook 15 g094sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Notebook seems to be struggling with wi-fi reception even next to my router despite my other laptops (including other HPs) all receiving excellent wi-fi reception. I've totally reinstalled windows and installed all HP updates but it is still no good. It does connect but is just incredibly weak so I have to resort to plugging in an ethernet cable.

I've checked wireless driver updates and all seems fine. Any suggestions why the laptop is struggling with weak signal strength when all my other laptops are ok?

Hi:

If your notebook has the Realtek RTL8188EE wifi adapter, the only suggestion I can offer, would be to update the W10 wifi driver to the latest version.

Thank-you. This appears to have worked although strangely not identified in any of the system updates and HP virtual assistant checks. All sorted now though
