I accept that this problem can be expected with a low quality internet service, however, I believe my wi-fi is dropping out much too soon. My thinking is supported by the fact that at when my wife's ACER is operated side by side with my HP (both new  Windows 11), her ACER continues without problem. I am not a computer technician but have tried to compare the two computers in order to see what the problem is with my HP and note that the Service Set Indentifiers are from different manufacturers and that mine (Realtec) is of a supposed lesser quality that the one installed in her ACER.

My question, "Is my wi-fi dropping out sooner than it should and, if so, what should I do about it?"

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your notebook come with?

HP Recommended

My WiFi adapter is : Realtek RTL8852BE-VS WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Realtek RTL8852BE-VS Wi-Fi adapter driver to the latest version HP currently has available:

Version 6001.15.160.601   Aug/05/2025

sp162860.exe

Paul, thank you for the suggestion. I would likev to try the update you suggest but my laptop tells me my existing adapter driver is already the latest version (even though it apparently is not). How do I get the later version you suggest. Please advise.

You're very welcome.

I posted the link to the latest 6001.15.160.601 driver yesterday in my original reply.

Click on the blue link under the driver version number and date.

Many thanks Paul, time will tell if there is an improvement in my WiFi connectivity.
