HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Some days, this never happens and everything is fine. Other days, the wi-fi just drops, suddenly. I Troubleshoot, and it auto resets the adapter, then I have the signal again within a minute. Sometimes it stays that way, fine. Other times, after having reset the adapter, after 30 seconds or so, it just drops again, suddenly. Sometimes I have to reset the adapter multiple times before it finally decides to remain stable, on.

I have created a system report file, and a Wlan report, but there isn't a place to upload them. What should I do please?

To add: this happens only on my PC, all other devices such as phone, tablet etc. do not lose the wi-fi connection.

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there's an issue with the connectivity.

Appreciate you trying the steps. Don't worry, I'm here to help! To better assist you - May I have the exact model name of the computer? Refer to this link for steps to find the product details. (Ensure not to share the serial number, email, phone number, etc.)

While you respond to that, let's try these steps -

Step 1 Network Troubleshooter -
1) In the search box, type and open "Troubleshooter".
2) Click on "Network and Internet".
3) Click on "Internet Connections".

Step 2 Run Network commands -
1) In the search box on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator > Yes.
2) At the command prompt, run the following commands in the listed order, and then check to see if that fixes your connection problem:
Type
netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Type
netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
Type
ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type
ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type
ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.

Step 3 Re-install the Network Adapter -
1) In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.
2) In Device Manager, select Network adapters > the network adapter name.
3) Right-click on the network adapter, and then select Uninstall device > Delete the driver software for this device check box > Uninstall.
4) Restart the computer.

Also, try updating the computer -

Step 4 Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Click on this link to run Windows Updates troubleshooter.

Step 5 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 6 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

Hi Asmita,

Thank you for your help.

My computer ID: HP Pav 570-p009nl DT PC ITL

I ran the network troubleshooter, and as usual, when there isn't the problem there is no problem found. I reset all the CMD prompts you mentioned and restarted the PC. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the latest Intel driver for the adapter: there was an updated version. I have no Windows updates available. There are no HP updates available.

For now, everything is OK. Obviously I cannot say if it is fixed unless the problem occurs again.

Thank you very much.
