Looking for some help. My laptop keeps disconnecting me from the internet it’s says I cannot connect to the Wi-Fi network or all wifi networks disappear. The only way I can reconnect is by restarting the PC. It’s getting very frustrating and I’m sure there must be a way to solve this? I have updated everything and searched the troubleshooters, the advice I get is that there is a problem with the modem (there’s not as other devices are connected to the modems Wi-Fi) and I need to connect via a cable.
My laptop also won’t show my mobile data connection. Other devices at home can connect to my mobile data but for some reason the HP laptop won’t recognise if a network is available?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
Turn off your computer.
Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router, gateway, combined modem/router, or broadband modem.
Wait at least 5 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord.
Wait until all the lights turn on, and then review the lights to identify the status of the network connection.
All the lights are off: Check the power source by plugging the power cord into another power outlet. Service or replace your wireless router or broadband modem if it cannot be turned on.
Only the Power light is on and the other lights are off: A network connection might not be detected. Inspect the cable carrying the internet signal for damage, and then make sure the cable is securely connected to the network device.
Only the internet or online lights blink or do not turn on: There might be an issue with your internet service provider. You can wait until service is restored or contact your internet service provider for further assistance.
Turn on your computer, and then wait for the computer to connect to the wireless network.
Once it's done, please check the functionality of the wireless connection.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
