HP Laptop 15-dw4xx(Product Number: 81K90EA#ABV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,
I’m using an HP Laptop 15-dw4xx (Product Number: 81K90EA#ABV) running Windows 11 24H2.
The Wi-Fi disconnects randomly, and sometimes it completely disappears. When this happens, I have to restart the laptop to get the Wi-Fi working again.

Details of the issue:
- The problem happens both with my mobile hotspot and TP-Link home router.
- I have installed all the latest drivers from HP’s official website.
- The Wi-Fi adapter is: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter
- Windows is fully updated.

What I’ve tried:
- Reinstalling the Realtek wireless driver (latest version from HP site)
- Disabling and re-enabling the adapter in Device Manager
- Changing power management settings (unchecked “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”)
- Resetting network settings

Despite these steps, the problem still continues.

Could you please help me find a permanent solution or let me know if this is a known issue with Windows 11 and this adapter?

Thanks in advance.

Just to add:

I recently purchased this laptop brand new, and I’ve been experiencing this Wi-Fi issue since the first days of use. I’m located in Iran, so I don’t have direct access to official HP support centers or warranty services. That’s why I really appreciate any guidance or software-based solutions that could help. Thanks again for your time and support.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP has for the Realtek RTL8821CE.

This driver is newer that what appears on your notebook's support page:

2024.10.230.2
