Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that Wi-Fi turns off during setup, I am glad to assist you.

Update a Chromebook:

  • Select Time > Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for Updates. If there are any available, they're downloaded and installed.
  • Restart your computer to complete the installation process.
  • If your Chromebook updates automatically and needs a restart, you will see a notification in the lower-right corner of the screen.

Perform a hard reset.

Press and hold the Refresh key Power simultaneously, then release Refresh when your Chromebook boots.

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
