The Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 card/adapter is no longer showing up in DeviceMngr or via the HP Tools Diags accessed via boot F2 key press--also checked system board and everything else w/o any issues.
I bought new adapter, exact same card, and it's still not showing up. I've cleaned connectors and tried reseating card w/o success. The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling Win10, but since the HP Diags tool doesn't see the card/adapter, I'm pretty sure a Window's reload won't matter.
CAT5 networking works fine.
Update: I restored system back to initial Win10 installation, when everything was working fine. No diff., as expected.
Thanks!

Hi,
When I click on the link you provied i get a page not found error. So I copied/pasted the address and followed your directions but the steps you provided didn't seem to fit with the page I ended up on. I attempted to chat with a support person but was told:
The page doesn't really offer phone or chat options. It has:
Visit the HP Support Community
Find nearest centers
Then in lower right corner of page:
Which is what I selected and received the out of warranty message.
Sigh...
