My WiFi adapter keeps disabling itself while I am connected to my hotspot on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ through Sprint. It has worked fine for months until this past week. I have not installed any new programs but I purchased a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard set. I have to restart the computer in order for the adapter to turn back on. After a few minutes on the web, the scenario repeats itself. I have uninstalled and installed the driver but it still does it. Can't seem to find a solotion anywhere on the internet. Please help!

@gmanslc,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the wireless disconnects randomly.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the wireless was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

While you respond to that, I recommend you unplug the wireless mouse receiver from the computer and check whether the wireless disconnects. If the wireless doesn’t disconnect then the issue is with the wireless mouse frequency. I recommend you change the channel and band on your router page and check if it helps.

If the wireless disconnects even when the mouse receiver is not connected, then follow the steps in the below article.

Hello and thank you for replying to my post. The WiFi connevtion is through a hotspot using my Samsung Galaxy s9+ phone on the Sprint network. I have never had a problem with this until I installed the logitech mouse and keyboard. I found a work around by bluetooth tethering until today when I checked for updates using windows updatesuddenly my bluetooth is not functioning and is not working. It doesn't show up in my device manager and I tried to install the driver and it says that there is no bluetooth device on this computer. Here is the kicker, under settings in devices it shows all the devices that are paired to my compter but they are all faded and I can not access them. What is going on. You know as well as I do that there is bluetooth on this computer. I would do a system recovery but I can't because when I upgraded to Windows 10 it deleted my recovery partiton and I did not make my recovery disks before the upgrade and I don't think that I should have to pay for installation disks for something that windows deleted. The WiFi adapter is still turning itself off and on but I don't have to restart my computer to get it to turn on again, it appears to be fixing itself temporarily.
