That has something to do with the Bluetooth (disabled?).
I don't use Bluetooth so I don't even know what that is for.
However, I just fired up my PC that has that USB adapter, and it shows my Bluetooth personal area network is enabled and working.
Maybe you just have to right click on the device and select Enable device.

Dear Paul, In the future I need to get a better handle on Backups and Reinstalltions.
I've lost Data on 2 different occasions when I thought I had followed the tutorials to the T.
To be honest I'm not really sure about the Options to reinstall or restore when you've had an existing version of Windows 10 in this case. The Troubleshooter Options didn't amount to much either.
So if you have a great Method or some links to Tutorials that might be helpful as well.
I hold your advice in the highest regard. I've been reluctant to use OneDrive and I do need to invest in a good reliable External HD. Suggestions if possible. On hand I have one new 128GB SSK USB stick. The WD Passport isn't reliable imho..it is an older model. It's a 2.0
Sincerely, Ralph

Hi, Ralph:
It doesn't bother me to have to reinstall Windows and the few programs I have to reinstall.
For backing up my files I use a portable hard drive and every month I copy all the Folders (desktop, downloads, documents, favorites, music, pictures...) in my PC's user profile to the portable hard drive and let it overwrite the existing files that are there.
If you want to make monthly system images of the whole setup (windows and files) I recommend you look for a free disk imaging software program that will allow you to do that and they have you make a bootable DVD or USB rescue drive that you boot from to access the system image you store on your portable hard drive.
But even if you choose that method, I recommend you still make a backup of your user folder so you can copy them to a new PC or to yours if you have to clean install Windows again.
Sometimes the recovery image fails to restore the image on the PC and then you are out of luck if you did not have your user folders backed up separately.

Thank You Paul!
Dunno what it is but I always seem to gum up the works. Often the steps written or displayed don't show what I think they should show for me to move forward and not make mistake(s).
"Every month I copy all the Folders (desktop, downloads, documents, favorites, music, pictures...) in my PC's user profile to the portable hard drive." Do you drag and drop them? Can you share with me an example?
How large of a external hd do you recommend? any brand that's found to be more reliable and reasonably priced?
Did I ask this before?
What are the odds of replacing the WiFi Card at this point in getting back WiFi from the notebook?
Some Technicians grab 100$-120$ to do a reinstall.
Many Thanks!
Best, Ralph

You're very welcome, Ralph.
I highlight/select all of the folders at once and copy and paste them to the portable drive.
The size of the drive depends on how many files you have.
I bought my wife a Seagate (STGX4000400) 4 TB portable hard drive, because she has a lot of pictures and for me, I just use a Seagate 1 TB drive.
I also use a 2 TB Western digital 'My Passport' Ultra to make system images and back up the user folders on my wife's PC each month.
I use the free Macrium Reflect software but isn't free anymore from their website.
Some other company bought them out and now they charge.
You can still download the free version from this site, but Macrium no longer supports it with updates.
They don't support the version I have any more either, but it still works, so I am fine with it.

Dear Paul, hope all is well...
What are the odds of replacing the WiFi Card (in the attachment) at this point in getting back WiFi from the notebook?
Do you have any links for this card that are located in the US and hopefully free shipping.
Thank You!
Best,
Ralph

Hi, Ralph:
I'm doing fine and I hope you are as well.
Your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which blocks the installation of any other model Wi-Fi adapter other than the model/part number it came with from working.
So, the odds are zero.
Cheers,
Paul

Whoa! Thank you Paul...
So, isn't there a possibility that the WiFi card itself is bad? So replacing it might help?
Please explain as best as your able.
When I was talking with Huffer about the connection issue..he suggested replacing it at one point . It was a long shot. But for a few dollars it might be worth a try. What do I know?!?
Blessings to you as always, Ralph

Hi, Ralph:
Going back to the early part of this discussion, we have determined that your PC has an Intel 5100 Wi-Fi card that shows up in the device manager and reports working properly.
The problem is that there are no W10 drivers for it that will get it to work properly on W10.
Since you can only replace the Intel 5100 with another Intel 5100, you can expect the same result.
A Wi-Fi card that will not work properly.
Cheers,
Paul.
