HP Laptop 15 e-2000 WIFI Issue
Faster on Linux, slower on Windows.
The problem is that being in Windows 10/Windows 11, the download speed does not reach the same speed as using Linux. My internet service is 300 Mbps, and although with Linux I reach 270/280 Mbps, with Windows I only reach 200/210. I also have more ping using Windows than Linux. I have already tried updating the drivers of my Realtek RTL8821CE Wifi board from the Device Manager, I tried downloading and installing the latest driver from the Realtek page, and I tried the latest one from the HP support page of the exact model of my Laptop. Still, the problem persists. I don't understand why I have better internet performance on Linux than on Windows. This has never happened to me with any PC or Laptop before. Hopefully you can help me.

Hi:
There is a slightly newer driver than the one on your notebook's support page:
2024.10.228.2 03/07/2023
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp145501-146000/sp145749.exe
You may want to give that a try, and that would be the only suggestion I can offer.

A few minutes ago, I managed to get a even newer driver than the one you found, but still, the issue isn't gone.
The driver I've found is: 2024.10.228.3 04/18/2023 😔
I really don't understand why the download speed is faster on Linux, or lower in Windows.
Maybe the WiFi board isn't well connected to the PCIe slot? I mean I would prefer not to open the laptop even if warranty is expired (although if it's the only way to fix it...)
